Ode not so much to the propane tanks used to fire up your grill. Propane tanks are not only cumbersome and ugly, but the gauges never seem to run true, which can leave you halfway between a grilled steak and oh crap, where is the backup tank! And the time for a new tank never seems to be at a good time...
Now think about never having that happening again...If you have natural gas, a solution is a literal phone call away!
Call Jersey Plumbing! We can connect your grill to the natural gas supply line in your home using a conversion kit and then you are DONE with propane tanks for good. The conversion kit account for the larger openings required for natural gas. We are talking natural gas, so although you may think you could save money doing it yourself, letting the professionals at Jersey Plumbing do the switch from propane to natural gas will not only save you aggravation and time, but quite possible your house as well. Natural gas being mostly methane and highly explosive, hiring professionals is definitively worth the cost.
Most grills can be converted.
Advantages to a Natural Gas Line install:
- No more propane tanks.
- Natural gas is less expensive than propane.
- You will experience no difference in the temperature or operation of the grill using the new connection.
- Natural gas is more environmentally friendly.
- And you will never run out of gas again!
If yours is one of the grills that doesn’t have a conversion kit, or conceivably your present grill could do with an upgrade, no grill lasts forever, there are plenty of options for natural gas grills.
Downsides of natural gas grilling:
- The grill is in a fixed location.
That said, how often does anyone move the grill?
- Can be more costly initially.
Either propane OR natural gas grills can be pricey depending on the options chosen.
- Depending on where you live, you may need a permit, HMO’s could have restrictions.
Your location may only require that you install a quick connect shut-off valve at the house, not a bad thing to have.
Just some grill safety tips:
Always grill outdoors - A golf umbrella is excellent for keeping the griller in charge dry!
Position the grill away from the house and deck railings and out from under eaves.
Children and pets must be supervised around the grill.
Keep your grill clean, removing grease buildup from the grills and the trays below.
Never leave a hot grill unattended.
Turn off the supply of gas to the grill when it is not in use.
While the professionals at Jersey Plumbing may not be able to char your steak to your liking, they will be able to install the lines for your natural gas grilling experience!
